Adobe Training Overview

Premiere 6.0 Introduction is a hands-on instruction book that will introduce you to most of the features of the Adobe Premiere 6.0 program. In this course, you will use both basic and advanced editing tools to edit audio and video clips, to create a complete digital movie.

Adobe Training Prerequisites

To ensure your success, you must have a basic understanding of your computer's operating system. For example, you should know how to launch an application, create and save files, and copy files from CDs and other media.

Instructor-led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

Hardware/Software Requirements

You will need

  • An Intel Pentium processor (@300 MHz)
  • Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000, Windows Millennium, or Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 4.
  • At least 32 MB of available RAM (128 recommended).
  • At least 85 MB of available hard-disk space required for installation, and an additional 310 MB for the course data.
  • A monitor capable of displaying 24 bit color at a resolution of at least 800 x 600 (1024 x 768 or more recommended).
  • A CD-ROM drive.
  • Adobe Premiere 6.0.
Performance-Based Objectives

Lesson objectives help students become comfortable with the course, and also provide a means to evaluate learning. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • · Navigate in the Adobe Premiere environment using the Project, Monitor, and Timeline windows.
  • · Create a new Premiere project, and specify video, audio, and other settings based on the intended use of the project.
  • · Organize a project using bins.
  • · Perform basic editing on video and audio clips.
  • · Add transitions to create visual interest to a project.
  • · Change audio settings to skillfully integrate audio into a project.
  • · Perform advanced editing techniques, including three- and four-point editing, lift, and track targeting.
  • · Apply video effects to a project to enhance the presentation of clips.
  • · Add static and rolling titles to a project as screen titles and credits.
  • · Export a project to QuickTime format.
