Adobe Training Description

You have probably worked with some design or video editing applications to create imagery, either static or animated. However, you now need to assemble the video, audio, or still images to create a DVD that viewers can navigate to view the content. In this course, you will use Adobe Encore DVD to create DVDs that viewers can access using a DVD player

Adobe Training Objective

You will explore how to plan and create a DVD project, create a slideshow, and a menu page. You will also explore how to navigate a menu.

Adobe Training Prerequisites

Before taking this course, students should be familiar with the basic functions of their computer's operating system such as creating folders, launching programs, and working with Windows. Students should also have basic Windows application skills, such as copying and pasting objects, formatting text, saving files, and so on

Delivery Method

Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

Target Student

Independent video professionals or individuals who sell video services, such as wedding videographers. “Prosumers,” who are amateurs knowledgeable enough to need professional resources. Other professionals for whom videography is not part of their primary job role but engaged in audio/video editing.

Hardware Requirements

  • Intel® Pentium® III 800MHz or faster processor (Pentium 4, multiprocessor recommended)
  • 256MB of RAM (512MB or more recommended)
  • 1GB of available hard-disk space required for installation
  • 5GB of additional hard-disk space recommended for extra content
  • 20GB or larger hard disk or disk array recommended for ongoing work
  • 1,280x1,024 32-bit color video display adapter with 16MB VRAM or more (dual monitors recommended)

  • Stereo sound card
  • One writable DVD
