Adobe Training Description

As a workplace professional with some experience in using Adobe Acrobat, you are now ready to further develop your PDF documents. In this course, you will use Adobe Acrobat® 7.0 Professional to convert technical documents to PDF files, enhance and control PDF content accessibility, customize PDF documents for interactive use online, and prepare PDFs for commercial printing.

Acrobat 7.0: Level 1 (Standard/Professional)

Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

The audience may or may not be creative and/or print professionals

Hardware Requirements

  • An Intel® Pentium® processor.
  • 128 MB of RAM (256 MB or greater is recommended).
  • A minimum of 555 MB of available hard-disk space.
  • A CD-ROM drive if installing from a CD.
  • A mouse or compatible tracking device.
  • A 1024 x 768 screen resolution.
  • A projection system to display the instructor's computer screen.
Performance-Based Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • create PDFs from technical documents.
  • enhance the utility and accessibility of PDF documents.
  • create interactive PDF forms.
  • begin preparing a PDF document for commercial printing.
  • create composite and color separation prints from a PDF document.
Platform Requirements

  • Windows® 2000 Professional with Service Pack 2, Windows XP Professional or Home Edition, or Windows XP Tablet PC Edition.
Software Requirements

  • Adobe® Acrobat 7 Professional for Windows.
  • Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.01 or later.
  • Microsoft® Office Visio 2003 is preferable, but not mandatory, to complete one activity.
  • Adobe® Photoshop 7.0.1.
  • Microsoft® Excel.
  • Windows Media Player
